Nature has provided Wilderness Hunting Lodge with hills, hollows, thickets, and more making it ideal for the wild boar habitat and hunt. Our wild boar populations are strictly managed with Russian boar and Razorback boar stock.
What to expect
Our guides take you into a choice area, place you on a stand, stay with you or leave you alone, the choice is yours. Then the guides will bring you back to the camp for lunch and a rest period. Then it’s back to the wild for the evening hunt.
Dogs are used if the hunters request them. Our professional guides are always within your immediate area should the need arise. They’ll help you field dress or do it for you, whichever you prefer. They will also bring your kill back to the camp for you.

Russian Boar Hunts
One of the things most hunters don’t understand about the Russian Wild Boar is that they are experts at concealment and they have a nose better than any of the deer species. There are many ways to find the bedding and feeding areas of wild Russian boar. The first is to look for wallows on the ground. These are areas where the boar have wallowed the earth out to make cool damp bedding areas. The number and size of these indentions in the ground will indicate if your trophy is visiting the area.
Another sign to look for are rubs. Wild hogs will always rub down the sides of trees to relieve themselves of parasites and to mark their territory. So if you see several trees in an area with dirty rubs 28 to 40 inches off the ground you know there’s a big boar in the area.
Razorback Boar Hunts
We offer amazing Razorback wild Boar Hunts. The great thing about wild russian boar, razorback or ferral hog hunts is that you can do it year round. There is no season on hog hunting in Tennessee. That means you can enjoy trophy boar hunting in the winter or you can test your skills during the summer months. Many of our hunts will use a wild boar hunt in the off season to develop their bow skills and prepare them for the upcoming deer seasons.
