The Water Buffalo is usually black or gray in color. The horns sweep our and up much like the cape buffalo. Males can weigh 1500 pounds. Water buffalo are apt to completely submerge themselves under water for a minute or longer.

As a relative to the cape buffalo, the huge animals can be dangerous. If excitement is something you long for, then hunting one of these massive beasts is something you need to consider.
